Our Story

Community Insurance Group began as R.H. Stillinger Insurance Agency. We are now The State Bank of Table Rock’s full-service insurance agency.  In 2000, the Hofmann Agency in Pawnee City was purchased and combined with the Stillinger Agency, and the name was changed to Community Insurance Group in 2005. This name reflects our priority to be involved in both school and community activities. Community involvement is important to our agency and that's why "Community" is our first name.​ 

In 2012, the agency added an office in Tecumseh located on Highway 50, right across from Casey's, and in 2016 we opened an office in Humboldt, on the historic downtown square. In 2020, we opened our fourth location in Sterling, across the street from the Jet Stop, and we remain dedicated to serving and being involved in each of our communities. 

Community Insurance Group has ten full-time agents that write auto, home, farm, crop, commercial, life and health insurance. Our agents take pride in being specialists in the industry and make it a priority to stay well informed on the ever-changing rules of insurance. As an independent agency, Community Insurance Group agents are able to write policies with more than 35 different companies.  This allows us to find the best possible coverage and rates for our customers, and we can help our customers make informed decisions about their insurance.
